This is a standard-size Instant Pot. I LOVE my Instant Pot (actually, I have two) and use it all the time for grains, soups, beans, and many other dishes. It lets you set it and walk away — no fussing at the stove. This basic model has settings for yogurt, slow cooker, steaming, sauté, warming, and sterilizing, which is plenty for me.

3-quart Instant Pot
If you often make half-recipes or are cooking for one or two and don’t like a lot of leftovers, you can consider the 3-quart model. My friends who have it love it. It has all the benefits of the large Instant Pot but is just smaller. Recipe timings can be left the same even if you halve the amounts.

Air Fryer–Instant Pot Combo

You can buy a combination air fryer and Instant Pot. I have an air-fryer top that attaches to my Instant Pot. The major disadvantage is that it’s a bucket-shape (vertically oriented) rather than having a wide shelf you can lay a lot of slices on (horizontally oriented). The advantage is that you don’t have to make room for a whole separate air fryer appliance.

Steamer rack trivet
This inexpensive trivet with handles makes steaming easy with the Instant Pot. I insert this trivet, then lay my regular stainless steel steamer on top of it and pile the vegetables into the steamer. The handles make it easy to remove everything after steaming.

Air Fryer parchment paper 6.8-inch rounds for Air Fryer–Instant Pot Combo
If you buy the air fryer - Instant Pot combination, I highly recommend using parchment paper with holes, made for the air fryer. (These come in all shapes and sizes for various air fryers. The parchment makes oil-free air-frying easy and often eliminates the need to wash the basket. You can also use the parchment more than once.
