Blenders

I have three blenders and use them for different purposes.

High-speed blender: This is the largest and most powerful of my blenders. The only limitation is that it can’t blend small recipes (see the bullet blender for those). I have a Vitamix. I bought a reconditioned model that has worked well for the last 7-8 years. I recommend buying a Vitamix if you have the means, but there are new up-and-comers that look promising as well.

Bullet/personal blender: Smaller blenders are not as powerful as the high-speed larger blenders, but they are perfect for smaller batches of cashew milk, salad dressing, sauces, etc. I use my Nutribullet just about every day and love it. I recommend the 900 watt model so you get significant power in a small blender.

Stick (immersion) blender: Stick blenders are the category with the least power among blenders, but they are very handy and safe for pureeing soups or sauces right in their pans. My Breville blender came with a handy mini-processor and a whip attachment. I also like that the bottom of the blender is lined with soft plastic so that it doesn’t scratch up my pans.
